Artist Sarah Emerson Selected for Quebec City's biennial, MANIF D'ART 5!

Whitespace Gallery is pleased to announce the selection of Sarah Emerson for MANIF D'ART 5 – The Quebec City Biennial. (The biennial will be held May 1st – June 13th, 2010.)

Sylvie Fortin, Editor-in-Chief of Atlanta's award-winning international contemporary art magazine ART PAPERS, is the curator of the 2010 MANIF D'ART 5.

Go On the Road & Off the Grid with artist and adventurer Richard Sudden

Whitespace is pleased to announce and support On the Road / Off the Grid, a new project documenting the adventures of gallery artist and filmmaker Richard Sudden. Directed by Jason Vise and produced by Thirst Media, the documentary program series combines global travel, sustainable design and the development of an "off-the-grid" living project.

Whitespace Inaugurates Ready Set Readings

Recently Whitespace inaugurated Ready Set Readings, a series featuring writers and poets. Curated by poet Ann Stephenson, Ready Set Readings demonstrates our commitment to new and innovative writing. Upcoming readings will feature Bruce Covey (March) and Kostas Anagnopoulos (April).


Ann Stephenson is the author of the chapbook Wirework (Tent Editions, 2006). Her poems have recently appeared in The Brooklyn Rail, Coconut, Forklift, Ohio: A Journal of Poetry, Cooking & Light Industrial Safety, Gerry Mulligan and Sal Mimeo. In 2007 Stephenson received her MFA from Bard College.  She relocated from New York City to her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
